eBay Marketing for Pros

eBay Marketing for Pros

It’s hard to know where to start when it comes to talking about profit opportunities on eBay. It’s a huge marketplace. eBay began as an auction site, but these days more than half of all of the transactions there are “Buy It Now” sales without bidding. It’s become a huge online store, with vendors offering merchandise with fixed prices and people are buying.

The opportunities to make money on eBay cover the entire spectrum of online marketing. Like the image shows, you can be on different sides of transactions, making money in multiple ways.  From simply becoming an eBay affiliate for commissions to selling merchandise, even cars and airplanes, there’s opportunity for you at eBay.

If you don’t have products to sell directly and don’t want to maintain inventory, there are many who have become rich buying on eBay, and selling the same item at a higher price. It’s a great big bargain-mart, and those who can recognize bargains in their niche can profit from reselling.

The sheer size of the eBay marketplace and the diversity of products sold and buyer and seller types creates a complex system.  From full brick and mortar stores selling online as well, through online-only eBay stores, to sellers who don’t operate a store but sell a variety of products with individual listings, eBay proficiency brings profits.  However, eBay proficiency requires keeping a whole lot of balls in the air.  We take the work out of juggling on eBay by helping our students to master the intricacies of the eBay marketplace.

  • Auction selling – auctions are far from dead on eBay.  In fact, the sellers who understand the human psychology of bidding and the mechanics of eBay can make higher profits than pricing items as “Buy It Now.”  It’s a balance of understanding value, assessing the eBay competition, setting or not setting a minimum bid, and setting a starting bid that generates competition.
  • Buying then selling – combining your knowledge of the auction process with product knowledge, you can make some really great bargain buys that can be re-sold at a nice profit.  We’re experts at the search functions and reporting utilities that will locate bargains for you.
  • Understanding & minimizing your costs – there are costs related to selling on eBay, and not just eBay’s cut or percentage.  We give our students information that helps them to minimize these costs, work the shipping cost as a possible profit center, and in all ways maximizing the profits in their sales.

It’s really exciting to tell people about all of the ways to make money on eBay.  Those who have a website where they affiliate market or sell products directly can make use of eBay to promote their website and dramatically increase site visitors and profits.  It’s another facet of eBay marketing, but it carries its own unique knowledge requirements.  From how to meet the rules to display email addresses and domain names, through creating ads in emails to promote your site, to using your website name as your PayPal business name, we know all of the tricks to profits.

We’ve even worked with students who make buying trips to Costco, Sam’s Club, Big Lots, and Outlet malls.  They pick up outstanding bargains, hold them for a minimal time, then resell them for great profits on eBay.  We’ve helped others to set up profitable operations selling things for other people on eBay for a percentage.  There are so many ways to profit on eBay, you’re going to find one or more that will work for you in our eBay Pro Academy Course.  Get it now, and you’ll be banking profits before you know it.

Most interesting! Buying cheap, selling high, is always the way people make money, whether on the stock market or E-Bay. But, how do you know what will “jump” in value, and what will stay the same? And ideas?
