Going Social Doesn’t Always Cost Money

Author: admin Affiliate Marketing

So I have been doing a great series on how to write “killer PPC ads” on my video blog for the last few weeks. If you haven’t watched them yet check them out now (just visit www.anthonymorrisonblog.com) the videos really rock. Some people left some comments about “how to go social” and “does it cost a fortune” to advertise on social media sites. I suppose when you look at Facebook being worth BILLIONS of dollars and you realize it’s all because of advertising revenue…. one could easily assume it cost a ton of money to generate traffic from social media networks.

The fact is that, yes, you can spend a lot of money advertising on social media networks, however, you don’t have to spend money in order to still garner some traffic and success. Facebook offers the “paid advertising” which is sure to generate more traffic and exposure to your site, however, they also offer things like fan pages, status updates, likes and wall comments. You can easily gain some traffic to your offers by just using the free spots on Facebook to post about your business. If it’s free why not do it right?

What about Twitter? Well we all know that Twitter is free and you can easily promote things on your Twitter feed. Of course you need followers in order to make that really happen on a large scale. Obtaining followers isn’t as easy as “follow me and ill follow you” at least not if you want your Twitter account to actually be of worth to your business. You need people to follow you because they WANT to hear what you have to say. I have found that by Tweeting often people will follow you and “re-tweet” what you have to say. This helps you build a following that actually wants to follow you for the right reasons. Promoting your business is then pretty simple, and free.

Again these are not knock down 10000% ways to generate millions of people and millions of dollars. They are, however, very good ways to generate traffic too your website free of charge. Over the years I have developed some software that automates the entire process of advertising on Facebook and Tweeting on Twitter. You can check out the page by just visiting here SocialAdsPro Software this is my own personal software and it rocks!

So in closing this weeks blog make sure you are utilizing every opportunity before you to generate traffic and customers to your website and affiliate offers. Focusing on the paid advertising is great, but don’t neglect the free opportunities that exist within just about every single social network I have ever seen. It might sound like “not much” but remember 100 pennies = 1 dollar right? Build up a lot of free traffic and it can cumulatively equal a substantial amount.

PS: Don’t forget to checkout the SocialAdsPro Software

Anthony, I have tried getting traffic to my Business Page in Facebook by linking it to Twitter. I have a few who have “Liked” but I get more impressions than comments or fans.

I have made comments on different threads, e.g. sports, trivia questions, “talk of the day” topics, my personal thoughts, etc. but it just doesn’t seem to be enough. Any suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for your great insight as always,

    Carol Spence

I currently advertise on Twitter and Facebook through Twitterfeed. I have many more followers on Twitter than Facebook, but I have more traffic from Facebook. I find that a lot of my Twitter traffic is from out of the U.S. This won’t help my affiliate offers since most of them only payout on U.S. traffic.
Come find me on Facebook and Twitter under BlogWithMom. Check out my blog at http://www.BlogWithMom.com and send me a comment.
Anthony’s program has gotten me this far, and I continue to grow daily. My husband has even started an investing blog at http://www.FollowMyInvestments.com. Be sure and leave him a comment too. We have a daily contest to see who will get the most visitors / comments for the day. I always get more visitors, but he always beats me when it comes to the visitor count!
