Many marketers think of their “niche” market as a type of product or service, or products and services related to a specific area of interest, such as:
- information products
- business management
Examples can go on forever. A niche doesn’t need to be just those type of examples. A niche can relate to broad markets like health, retirement, etc. Or, it can simply be a marketing medium, like specializing in Amazon marketing, or only working with ClickBank for information products.
Of course, then there are sub-niches, like the over-50 age group in the health niche. Or, perhaps you’ll only market information products in the large niche “sales,” but focused on sales training products as a sub-niche. The choices are endless, and you can market in more than one, in fact many niche markets.
The easiest part of niche marketing is choosing a niche, or several of them if you want. You may even become a “trend” marketer, changing niches to quickly adapt to trending markets or news. Perhaps you actually focus mostly on trends. Maybe you’re doing information products marketing and you do marketing blasts that feature products related to trending news.

So, you’re trying to pull all of this together, and it comes to you that the niche and the marketing venues are in place but you still have to get product. Do you join affiliate networks, or just select individual vendors on your own? What do you do to find the right keywords and phrases to draw visitors to your marketing?
Maybe you don’t just market other people’s products. Perhaps you can produce your own. This is an especially profitable thing to do if you can create your own information products. You can leverage them through ClickBank and have others affiliate market for you.
