If you have a Facebook Fan Page, you have access to countless Facebook apps. These apps will help you promote your business, get more fans and turn your page into a great marketing tool. While there are hundreds of great apps, I’m going to go over the five essential apps you need to include on your Facebook Fan Page.
Before I get into the different types of apps, I’m going to explain how to get them. Just go to the Facebook App Directory at http://www.facebook.com/apps/directory.php. Once there, click on “Business” and you will see the different apps for your Facebook Fan Page. Now that you know how to access the apps, we are going to go over the top five.
Fan Offer
This app is a great way to build your fan base. You will create an offer or a coupon. Then, the Fan Offer app will build a welcome page for “non-fans.” Non-fans will enter your Facebook page via the welcome page. The page will tell non-fans that they just have to “Like” your page to receive the offer or coupon. Once they “Like” the page, they will receive the special offer.
You have to pay $19 a month to use this app. If you learn how to monetize your fan base, $19 is a small price to pay for new “Likes.”
You could also have someone just custom create a “welcome” page for your Facebook Fan Page. Check out my Fan page (and like it if you haven’t!) mine has no monthly fee, but I did pay someone a decent amount up front to get it done like this.

Promotions
The “Promotions” app is next on the list. Just as the name suggests, this app will help you run promotions on your Facebook page. These promotions can come in many different forms, including contests, sweepstakes, coupons and giveaways.
You do have to pay to run promotions with this app. However, if your promotions help you get more customers, the money you pay will be well worth it.
Networked Blogs
If your blog is going to help you sell products, you need to have readers. The Networked Blogs app will help you build a strong following. You can use the app to import your blog feed to your Facebook page. Then, your Facebook fans can go through your posts and help your blog become as popular as your Facebook page is.
Constant Contact, iContact or Mail Chimp
If you doing any type of online marketing, there’s a good chance that you use an auto responder to collect email addresses. Fortunately, Facebook makes this easier by offering apps for Constant Contact, iContact and Mail Chimp. Once you download the app, you will be able to collect email addresses right from your fan page.
Tweet Tab
This app will create a “Twitter” tab on your Facebook Fan Page. The tab will display your Twitter feed. This feed will be updated every three minutes.
You can include up to 18 Twitter accounts on your Tweet Tab. This is great for people who use different Twitter accounts for different products.
Spend some time familiarizing yourself with these apps today. Once you understand their features, install them so they can help you build an online following.

I would have to say my favorite app would be the Twitter Tab app. The two main reasons would be because it is free, and that I love the idea of showing my twitter feed on my Facebook Page!! This is great as I do most of my social network advertising through bit.ly and they do not post to my Facebook Page as it just posts to my personal user account. Then I have to go in to my Facebook Page and “share” my personal Facebook posts. I am going to implement this right away. Thanks for the great content as always!!

Out of the 5 apps presented, Constant Contact is the best and my favorite.
I like the Promotions page which gives people that know me a chance to win great prizes.

I am in the process of building my website (It’s up, but still under construction.) and hope to have it done by the end of July…cancel that: will have it looking the way I want by the end of July and ready to roll. I would like to build my fan page http://www.facebook.com/thedeclutterqueen on Facebook in order to drive traffic to the website. All this is a roundabout way of saying that the app that appeals to me the most is Fan Offer, and I will be taking advantage of this app after the website construction is completed.

I have been trying to figure out a way to add contacts to my client list. It has not been easy and I definitely needed help. I think Constant Contact, iContact or Mail Chimp is my favorite App. It is one more tool to get my business off the ground.

I like all the apps, but the twitter tab is my favorite one. I’ll put as many as I can afford in action right away. By the way, thanks for the information. as usual, it’s awesome.
Mine would also have to be the twitter app I to enjoy that it is a free app considering money is tight right now so I have to be frugal with the money to get the things I need to get my site up and working for me. Another reason I like the app is that it will force me to start tweeting more often.
I have not used any of the apps yet but from what i read they all look equally as helpful.

Anthony, I am leaning towards the networked blogs app. simply because of the sheer amount of active users. I also like twitter because I am fairly new to this and I feel more confortable in twitter.

My question would be does it apply even if you are already using Aweber and does it also apply if you are promoting different types of business streams (making on the internet and dating)?

21 Questions is my favorate app
My favorite if money were not an issue would be the “Promotions” app. Everyone is always looking for something free and I believe it would boost your fans on my Facebook page.
Since money is an issue, the easiest for me to implement would be the tweet tab. I would have to check it out to see how successful it is. But of my friends and fans are not big tweeters.
The next app I would try would be the Networked Blogs app. Now I just need to create my own blog.

My favorite app is the promotions one. In this economy, people tend to look for anything free, discounted or coupons. They are more likely to click these than anything else. All of you suggested apps are great though. Thanks for the tips Anthony.
I have the promotions app, I have only used it once but it is sure nice. I am also working on a storefront with the Payvment app. I am hoping that will help also. I tried blogging, it hasn’t stuck yet but with this app maybe I will try it again. Thanks for the info.

Promotions are wonderful. there is no “Pushing” most people look for freebies and discounts. All fall into the category of “Promotions” a very big Business and Data Base builder.

At the moment the Constant Contact sounds like the one to use at present. When I have money that will pay for the Fan Page, will plan to get it and possibly all 5.

Ok I added all your apps and have used them all, hmmm honestly # 1 would be tweet, then promotions, I absolutely love that one, it draws people in to get anything free or to win something, so I took your advice and am doing the same, setting the same fire, hope it works.
I like the Fan offer the most because all may fan’s would be able to take advantage of great deal’s and exclusive offers just for being a fan and accessing my website.

I like Promotions – who doesn’t want free stuff they can actually use. I “won” a camera through a twitter contest … was skeptical to give me address to a total stranger but ultimately did it and got a camera in the mail – brand new – a few days later – no strings attached – no spam email – no spam snail mail – nothing. It made my day to receive this gift – I want to do this for other people too – so, Promotions is my personal favorite.

I’m going to try the Tweet tab. It would be great to be able to have interested people be able to click that and immediately leave a response. And it would help me keep up with the interest in the site.
I am just learning about all this technology. It may take me a bit longer than the next person, but I am dedicated to making this work. I think the Tweet tab will be an exciting tab to add to the page. I think it will help me see who is looking at the Facebook page and see who is following me. It is amazing to think how somebody came up with this idea.
